Destination Imagination is a global S.T.E.A.M. team-based competition for students ages pre-school through college.

The mission of D.I. is “To engage participants in project-based challenges that are designed to build confidence and develop extraordinary creativity, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills”

Magnet High will take one freshmen team to competition for the 19-20 school year. The team will choose to compete in one of 7 challenges. The Louisiana state competition is on March  21, 2020. If our team wins the state competition in their challenge, they will advance to the DI global competition in May of 2020. 

That challenges include:

Technical

Scientific

Engineering

Fine Arts

Improvisational

Service Learning

Each team will also compete in an Instant Challenge. 

Louisiana can send one team in each category to the global competition.
